  Bar Blue Very popular bar in the Sanlitun district despite the long walk up to the 4th floor.  A major plus in the summer is the roof terrace on the 5th floor.

  Centro Better than average chic hotel bar with attractive waitresses to pull in the customers!

Kerry Centre Hotel, 1 Guanghua Road.

 
The Den Located next to the City Hotel in Beijing's Sanlitun district, the Den is one of Beijing's longest running bars.  It's open till very late, so you can have breakfast before heading home after sunrise!

Next to City Hotel on Gongti Bei Lu.

Mix Going after the Vics crowd, Mix opened in 2002 and has enjoyed some success especially at weekends.

Gongti Bei Lu, North Gate of Workers Stadium.

  Propaganda On the west side of town, this basement bar is popular with the student crowd which means it's full of young clubbers and if you are over 25 you will feel old!

Xue Yuan Lu, Haidian.

 
Vics Always busy at weekends this place is popular with Beijing's young student community.  You will look out of place in a suit, so this is not the place to go to if you have not had time to change in to your party outfit.

Gongti Bei Lu, North Gate of Workers Stadium.

  Suzie Wong's Packed at weekends, popular with the expat professional crowd, open air balcony in the summer, great music but no dance floor.
